- Chatbot agents will become super hot (in terms of popularity, not in terms of appearance.. wait, could actually be both?): Loneliness is one of the biggest problems of today’s world, and hopefully chatbot agents can provide a helpful solution. Some people feel more comfortable talking to virtual agents than to other humans.
- IP will still be produced by humans, but will be expanded by AI: AI won’t produce original IPs from end to end (at least not yet) but AI can help the “IP expansion”, i.e. finding and executing on trans-media opportunities where IP in one format gets re-produced in many other formats.
- AI will help spot new IP opportunities (“what IP needs to be created right now”): AI can become a prediction machine. For instance, AI can advise people on “one pill” that will preemptively address their potential health problems; Or, AI can help predict potential crimes (similar to “pre-cog” in the movie Minority Report, but in a much less dramatic and more practical way) – how many times do we say “Oh, we could have prevented the gun violence as the perpetrator left all these social media posts and the signs were obvious”). Similarly, AI can help recognize original IP creation opportunities (“Produce these stories for these target audiences using these tropes for next summer”). Can’t 100% guarantee the success of the IP but can provide good guidance.
- Better tools for GenAI prompts will emerge: Most people have hard time coming up with the right prompts, just like it’s not easy to draw a good painting on a blank canvas. There will be more efficient and user friendly / WYSIWYG tools to provide guided paths for GenAI prompts.
- Language barrier will be removed significantly, which will lead to expansion of available content: Translation tech is joined at the hip with LLM research. With the advancement of LLM, a lot of human language barrier will be removed in the next few years. This will lead to the explosion of available content.
- We’ll start seeing LLM/GPT based companies with a 9-figure ARR: Even though most companies will use the same API for language models and therefore effectively work as “wrapper tools”, some companies will emerge as winners with a large distribution and top-of-the-mind branding, and will be able to build big businesses with 9-figure ARR.
- Human/AI symbiosis (and blockchain as the killer app): Humans will “fill the gap” of AI content generation through feedback loops (e.g. correcting hallucinations). Since the world is well past the Turing test with the humans- and AI-created content being indistinguishable, there will be more importance in marking up the genuinely human-created content, using blockchain.
