In one of the communities I’m part of, we recently talked about a trip to Israel — something that’s been on my bucket list forever (as Aviram Jenik knows).
Unfortunately it would be hard to go this time too, due to kids and work schedule. But something that was shared during the information meeting really stuck with me.
One organizer said, “So many people want to create a connection with Israel, but few actually show up.”
You could swap Israel with any other country – Korea, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam – or even a career field.
The key is showing up (often physically). Showing up doesn’t guarantee success, but it’s the critical first step, and not everyone ends up taking it.
