Shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Arie Abecassis. Ever since Rob Pereyda introduced Arie years ago, I kept in touch with Arie and became an LP in his deftly.vc fund (which, by the way, is in good hands with Paul Canetti and friends).
Arie and I would talk about our life goals, the difference between being an operator and a capital allocator, and raising teenage children, among other things. I always enjoyed our conversations and will cherish the memories now.
Reminder: Life is short. Never compare yourself to others. They live their life, and you live yours. Spend time with your loved ones. Do what you love.
